Faculty Success Data Imports
Faculty Success includes faculty data from institutional systems such as Banner, Cayuse, and other approved university data sources. Where applicable, Banner serves as the system of record for core faculty information, including permanent data and degree information.
Faculty may also enter, review, and update activity information directly in Faculty Success to support annual review, reappointment, promotion and tenure, post-tenure review, workload-related reporting, CV generation, and other faculty data needs. If faculty notice information that appears to be missing, duplicated, or inaccurate, they should submit the Faculty Success Data Issues Form1 within Faculty Success.
Banner serves as the system of record for core faculty information in Faculty Success. Data imported from Banner may include permanent data, appointment information, college and department affiliations, faculty rank, tenure status, and degree information. Because this information originates in Banner, faculty may not be able to edit these fields directly in Faculty Success.
If Banner data appears to be missing, duplicated, or inaccurate in Faculty Success, faculty should submit the Faculty Success Data Issues Form within Faculty Success so the information can be reviewed and routed appropriately.
Cayuse is UNCG’s research administration system used to manage sponsored research activity, including proposals, awards, grants, contracts, and other sponsored-program records. Cayuse data is imported into Faculty Success and appears in the Scholarship/Research section under Contracts, Fellowships, Grants, and Sponsored Research. This imported data helps faculty include sponsored research activity in annual reviews, promotion and tenure materials, post-tenure review, CVs, and other faculty reports.
Faculty should review imported Cayuse records for accuracy. If Cayuse data appears to be missing, duplicated, or inaccurate in Faculty Success, faculty should submit the Faculty Success Data Issues Form within Faculty Success so the information can be reviewed and routed appropriately.
