Beyond the Women’s Suffrage Centennial
The history of the United States may be understood as an ongoing struggle to expand democracy among its people. Throughout 2020-2022, UNC Greensboro presents a diverse two-year series of events, discussions, and performances to examine the history and cultural context of the passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution (women’s right to vote), and issues of equity and equality in our own time.
