Thanks to a $2.3 million gift from the Tom Haggai and Associates Foundation, non-traditional students will be trained to teach.  The gift is the largest-ever awarded to the School of Education, and UNCG will use matching funds to create a permanent endowment for a new teacher training program.

The Haggai Academy will benefit non-traditional students – undergraduates older than 24, graduate students who plan to teach after earning a master’s degree, veterans, and lateral-entry teachers who want to move from the private sector to the classroom.
