The School of Nursing has been selected for the fourth consecutive time by the National League of Nursing (NLN) as a Center of Excellence in recognition of their sustained efforts in “Creating Environments That Promote the Pedagogical Expertise of Faculty.”
This designation runs from 2016-2021 and will be formally awarded at the NLN Summit in Orlando, Florida, on September 21, 2016. Only ten schools in the country have been designated as Centers of Excellence more than twice; the UNCG School of Nursing first received designation in 2005.
The NLN “offers the Centers of Excellence program as a way to recognize schools that have demonstrated a commitment to excellence and invested resources over a sustained period of time to distinguish themselves in a specific area related to nursing education.”
