Each UNCG academic unit (College or School) has the responsibility to ensure that Instructor-of-Record credentials satisfy the SACSCOC standards for faculty credentials (PDF). The adequacy and competence of Instructors-of-Record assigned to teach specific courses must be documented and confirmed by the academic deans before the first day of classes of each semester in keeping with the University’s credentialing policy (PDF) and procedures (PDF). For this purpose, the credentialing form and supporting documentation must be submitted before the first day of classes for first-time Instructors-of-Record and for returning Instructors-of-Record with new course assignments not covered by prior credentialing.
