UNCG Voted One of 2008's Greatest Colleges to Work For by The Chronicle of Higher Education
In a survey conducted by The Chronicle of Higher Education 15,000 employees at 89 higher education institutions were surveyed nationwide in a variety of different caregories. Based on those responses, the publication ranked UNCG highly in 6 of the 27 categories graded by the survey. UNCG placed in the top 5 schools in the following categories:
- Job Satisfaction
- Confidence in Senior Leadership
- Work-Life Balance
- Healthy Faculty-Administration Relations
- Collaborative Governance
- Post-Retirement Benefits
Five institutions were ranked in each of three divisions, designated by the number of employees. UNCG was rated alongside other “medium-sized” universities and colleges such as Drake University, Canisius College and Indiana Wesleyan University who employ between 500 and 2,499 people.
