Lloyd International Honors College

Academic Advisor, Lloyd International Honors College, The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The College seeks an individual with a strong commitment to honors and international education, and to the preparation of talented students for professional lives in an interdependent world and with significant experience in undergraduate advising. This is a 12-month non-faculty administrative position.

Responsibilities include serving as the honors adviser to the College’s nearly 1000 students, managing honors course registrations and all student data within the College, and communicating effectively with UNCG faculty and administrators. The adviser has significant duties related to admissions, orientation, and co-curricular activities of the Honors College.

Qualifications:
Administrative experience in an Honors College or demonstrated knowledge and involvement with honors work strongly preferred. Computer and organizational skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to work with faculty, staff, and a diverse student body expected. The candidate should have a knowledge of Banner and the Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Excel, mail merge between Word and Outlook, and WebFocus. Willingness to participate with Honors College staff in sponsoring evening and weekend activities also expected.
