Responsibilities:
Assistant/Associate Professor

Applications are invited for a tenure-track position in mathematics education at the assistant or associate professor rank, to start in fall 2010. Tenure may be offered at the associate professor rank depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications. The person in this position will be responsible for advising and teaching courses for prospective mathematics teachers, and will be expected to maintain an active research program.

The department offers the BS, BA, MA and Ph.D. degrees in mathematics. It includes 19 tenured or tenure-track faculty and 2 lecturers.

UNCG is one of the 16 branches of the University of North Carolina, and is a doctoral-granting institution with a highly diverse student population of about 18,000 students. It is located in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina, with easy access to the coast and mountains. It is also in close proximity to the North Carolina Research Triangle and to several major universities.

Qualifications:
Applicants must have or anticipate a Ph.D. in mathematics or in mathematics education by August 2010.
