The University of North Carolina at Greensboro Department of Anthropology seeks qualified candidates to fill a position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in Socio-Cultural Anthropology to teach introduction to cultural anthropology as well as upper level socio-cultural courses beginning in August, 2013. Although area of specialization is open we are interested in candidates who complement the current faculty expertise and interests. We particularly welcome candidates with regional specializations in Africa, Asia or South Asia as well as the Islamic world.
Candidates should have a record of scholarship and demonstrate a commitment to teaching at all levels of undergraduate education, including majors and non-majors. Candidates must have or anticipate a PhD in Anthropology by August 1, 2013.
